EPIC THURSDAY – Records a plenty !

Sebastien Cattelan, actual French Record Holder, after breaking twice the World Record and becoming the 1st man to 50 knots did it again with 55.49 knots. Few minutes after, he has been followed by Rob Douglas, the american who reached another World Record with 55.65 knots.

The wind blew up to 45 knots today and the organisers decided to build a retaining wall after the finish of the run to keep the water in at low tide. This paid huge dividends today and many records were smashed !

Fabrice the time keeper has checked these speeds, but not the WSSRC yet. He asked that we state: Demands of speed records under sail, are subject to the official ratification by ISAF/WSSRC.

Rob Douglas is the new Outright Record holder with 55.65 knots.
